            Donates $1 Million to
            9/11 Relief Efforts

            On behalf of its Associates and business partners, Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. committed $1 million toward relief efforts for those impacted by the terrorist attacks. The Company was proud to say their Associates and business partners also volunteered to make contributions toward the relief effort as well. 

            State-of-the-Art Heart Center

            In January of 2010, a state-of-the-art Heart Center at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia opened. The Clinical Cardiology Center on the 4th floor of the Heart Center building was made possible by a gift from the Hovnanian family. The new facility provides comprehensive and unmatched services in heart care, making it one of the top heart care centers in the world.

            Riverview Medical Center's K. Hovnanian® Pavilion

            The creation of Riverview's Alton A. Hovnanian Emergency Care Center began early in 2003, requiring a new wing be added to the existing hospital. The wing, called the K. Hovnanian® Pavilion, houses a new and expanded Critical Care Center. Both the Emergency Care Center and the Critical Care Center include the most advanced patient monitoring technology in the area as well as vast improvements in both the size of the treatment rooms and comfort of environment. 

            K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital

            In 2006, the children's hospital located in Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, became the first state-designated children's hospital in the bi-county area and was renamed K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Kevork S. Hovnanian's generosity. The designation recognizes years of advanced pediatric clinical care services provided by Jersey Shore. In 2008, the Children's Hospital expanded to include a teen lounge, a satellite nursing station, and additional pediatric rooms, bringing its total number of beds up to 31 (plus a six bed pediatric intensive care unit). The remainder of the rooms received an aesthetic overhaul, with family friendly features, such as flat-screen televisions.

            K. Hovnanian Pediatric Department

            In the summer of 2009, K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital opened a dedicated pediatric Emergency Department as part of Jersey Shore University Hospital's $300 million transformation project. The emergency department now has a separate entrance and triage area, as well as 10-12 pediatric beds.
